Match every tonne. Never pay for steel that didn’t arrive.
materialpro matches rebar tonnes per diameter, 8 to 32 mm, across the LPO, the delivery notes and the invoice. A line billed for extra tonnes or a higher rate is flagged, and the whole invoice is held before payment.
Three places steel fixing contractors lose money on rebar
- 01Heard on site
“Rebar prices change every month. We never know if today’s rate is good, so we just call the same trader.”
Compare every trader’s rate per diameter and award each to the cheapest
Send one RFQ, say for ASTM A615 Grade 60 rebar, to several traders and their per-tonne rates line up by diameter in one comparison. Before you award, check a diameter’s price history: the last price you paid and your average. Split the award and it becomes one LPO per trader.
Saves money|You know a rate is good before you order, not after.
- 02Heard on site
“The trailer came two tonnes short on T16, and the watchman signed the DN anyway.”
Photograph the DN and book what actually came off the trailer
AI reads the tonnes per diameter off the delivery note. The storekeeper books what was received, records the shortfall and rejects a wrong-size bundle with a reason and a photo. Whatever didn’t arrive stays open on the LPO.
Saves money|Steel that never reached site is never paid for.
- 03Heard on site
“The spare steel went to the other tower with no paperwork, and we ordered it all over again.”
See the tonnes on hand at every site before you order
Each site store shows its rebar by diameter, plus the consumables steel fixers go through: binding wire, cover blocks, chairs and BRC mesh. Move leftover stock with a recorded transfer, then order only what is still missing.
Saves money|Leftover bars get used, not bought twice.
Hours and money back, added up over a month
LPOs, delivery notes, invoices and stock sit in one place, so checking rebar no longer runs on spreadsheets and WhatsApp. Here is a sample month.

Questions
Our trader cuts and bends to the BBS and bills the BBS weight. Which tonnes does the match use?
The tonnes you booked as received from the delivery notes, against each diameter on the LPO. If the invoice bills more than was received, or a higher rate than the LPO, that line is flagged and the whole invoice is held until someone resolves it.
Trader invoices carry 5% VAT. Does the system handle that?
Yes. VAT is set on the LPO and on the invoice, so the 5% shows on each document; Kuwait and Qatar stay at 0%. The match still checks tonnes and rate on every diameter line, so a gap stands out on its own.
Today it’s all spreadsheets and WhatsApp. Do we have to change everything at once?
No. Start with one site and one LPO. Photographing delivery notes and invoices works from day one, and everything else can stay as it is until you are ready.
