Set a minimum, and check the low-stock list before the weekly order
Give each item a minimum for the jobsite. The Low Stock filter shows everything at or below it, and the item's page says how far below the minimum it is.

Give CMU, face brick and mortar their own cost codes with a budget. Each PO counts against its code once it's approved, and opening a code lists the POs behind its total.
Saves money|An overrun shows when the PO is approved, not at the next pay app.
Keep the specification with the order
Record the size, grade and buying unit on each line, then use the order to check what arrives and what is billed.

Before you start
Can suppliers quote per cube while we order per block?
Not on the same material: units are never converted, so pick one buying unit for each material, per block or per cube, and put it on the RFQ. Every supplier quotes in that unit, and ordered, received and billed quantities compare directly.
How do we record broken block?
Key the block accepted and the block refused on the phone, with the reason and a photo. Refused block isn't booked as received, and the delivery record shows what's still to come on each line.
Can CMU and face brick costs stay separate?
Yes. Give each package its own cost code with a budget. Approved POs count against their code, and the spending report shows each code's total and the POs behind it.
