Every drum booked to its flat. Know what’s left before you reorder.
materialpro books the putty, primer and emulsion your store issues, flat by flat on the painting cost code, and the drums that come back. Each colour code keeps its own count, and when one drops below its minimum it shows as low stock before the next floor starts.
Three places painting contractors lose money on paint
- 01Heard on site
“Every paint shop gives us a different price, and in the end we order everything from the same distributor.”
Put every distributor’s price side by side, line by line
Send one RFQ to several paint distributors. Their prices per drum, bag, pail and roll line up in one comparison, the cheapest on each line is marked, and each distributor’s total sits underneath. Split the award and you get one LPO per winning distributor.
Saves money|Each line goes to whoever is cheapest on it, not to whoever you always call.
- 02Heard on site
“The invoice said 80 drums. Site got 72, and accounts paid it anyway.”
Match every invoice to the LPO and the DNs before you pay
Photograph the distributor’s invoice and AI reads it into the form. materialpro matches each colour code against the LPO and the delivery notes, in the same drums, bags and pails. A line billed for more than came, or above the LPO rate, is flagged, and the whole invoice is held until someone resolves it.
Saves money|Drums that never reached site, and rates you never agreed, don’t get paid.
- 03Heard on site
“The foreman bought two tins at the paint shop for touch-ups, and the receipt is still in his pocket.”
Snap the paint shop receipt and put it on the right cost code
The foreman photographs the receipt on his phone and files it to the project and the touch-up cost code. Once the office turns it into a PO, the amount before VAT counts against that code’s estimate, and the VAT stays on the receipt.
Saves hours|No chasing paint shop receipts at month end, and every counter buy sits on a project.
Hours and money back, added up over a month
Store issues, distributor prices, invoices and receipts sit in one place, so none of it runs on paper chits, spreadsheets and WhatsApp anymore. Here is a sample month.

Questions
We buy the same white from different distributors. How do we keep one count?
Set the item up once under your own colour code, such as EM 9010, and use it on every LPO, whoever supplies it. Stock and issues then add up under that one code, store by store, and the item’s page keeps what you have paid on every purchase, whoever supplied it.
We also do wallpaper and epoxy floors. Can we keep them apart from the paint?
Yes. Give each scope its own cost code, for example one for wallpaper and one for the car-park epoxy. Every LPO, receipt and store issue carries its code, and each code shows its estimate against what is committed.
Do LPOs and invoices show VAT?
Yes. In the UAE, 5% VAT sits on its own line on LPOs, receipts and invoices; for Kuwait and Qatar it is 0. The invoice match still checks quantity and rate on every colour code, so a gap stands out on its own.
Our site team writes in Arabic and our office in English. Does that work?
Yes. materialpro’s screens are in English today, but item names, notes, LPO lines and supplier documents can be in Arabic or English, the way your team and your distributors already write them.
