Broken tiles go back at the gate. You don’t pay for them.

materialpro books what actually arrived against each LPO line, with broken porcelain or ceramic tiles refused, photographed and given a reason. AI reads the showroom invoice and checks it against the LPO and the delivery note. If it bills more than you received, the whole invoice is held before payment.

Three old problems

Three places marble and tiling contractors lose money

  1. 01Heard on site

“Every showroom gives a different price per metre, and nobody remembers what we paid last time.”

Know what you paid last time, then compare per-m² quotes line by line

Each ceramic, porcelain or marble item’s page shows the last price you paid, who you bought it from and your average. Send one RFQ to tile showrooms, marble and granite yards and adhesive and grout traders, the cheapest on each line is marked, and the award splits into one LPO per supplier.

Saves money|You can see at a glance when a quote is above what you usually pay, before the LPO goes out.

  2. 02Heard on site

“The leftover cartons went to the other villa, and nobody wrote it down.”

Use what’s left at one villa before you buy for the next

Each villa or tower keeps its own store, with issues to the tiling gang and returns recorded. Before you buy for a site request, check what the other stores still hold and transfer it. Only the rest goes on the LPO.

Saves money|Tiles and adhesive you already paid for get used, not bought twice.

  3. 03Heard on site

“The tiler ran out of adhesive, bought a few bags in cash and lost the receipt.”

Photograph the cash receipt and put it on the flooring cost code

When the tile foreman runs out of adhesive or white cement and buys at the counter, he photographs the till slip on his phone and files it to the project and the flooring cost code. Once the office turns it into an LPO, the amount before VAT counts against the flooring estimate, and the 5% VAT stays on the receipt.

Saves hours|No chasing receipts at month end, and every cash buy traced to a project and cost code.

One month, added up

Hours and money back, added up over a month

LPOs, delivery notes, quotes, site stock and cash receipts sit in one place, so checking no longer runs on spreadsheets and WhatsApp photos. Here is a sample month.

Questions

How do we keep track of the broken porcelain or marble we refused until the showroom replaces them?

The refused quantity is recorded with a reason and a photo, and it stays open on the LPO line along with any shortfall. You can always see how much the showroom still owes, and an invoice that bills it as delivered is held until someone reviews it.

Showrooms send VAT invoices as PDFs or phone photos. Can the system read them?

Yes. AI reads the lines, quantities, unit prices and VAT into the invoice form for you to check. Each line is then matched against the LPO and what was received, and if one line is off, the whole invoice is held until it’s sorted out.

Our site team writes in Arabic, the office in English, and today it’s all Excel and WhatsApp. Do we have to switch everything at once?

No. materialpro’s screens are in English today, but item names, notes, LPO lines and supplier documents can be written in Arabic or English, the way your team and your suppliers already write them. Start with one site and one supplier: book each delivery against the LPO on site, with a photo of the delivery note. The rest can stay as it is until you’re ready.
